That 10 minute backup sounds like a good idea, I may look into one! Basketball

Lorin

Hi Lorin,
Its not the main power pack that supplies your computer, its a battery powered device that sits between your mains outlet and your computer. The battery will recharge once normal power is restored, but they recommend changing the battery every year, whether used or not. Similar to a cell phone I guess. Fortunately, mine has never been tested, no power failure, at least not while I was using the computer. There are two small lights visible. Green OK, Red, battery needs replacing.
I bought mine from the Bargain Bin at a small local computer store, it was only £25.00, so if it does work its worth the money. I haven't checked, but they must be available on the Web
NEWS-FLASH::::: I just turned my main switch off from the power socket, Apart from a very slight flicker, I'm still typing, so it does work. I've been meaning to do that for a while, keep forgetting until now.
Catch you later
Cheers
Pete.
